TabTrade.com - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is there for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The execution is the thing TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

This is the part that matters. The broker is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
